Dreamt I was at my youngest son and daughter-in-law's house in Philly. They were having a get together with my other two sons and daughters-in-law. I wore a pirate's white shirt (button down front blouse with loose sleeves and button cuffs), black pants and black shoes. I hopped sideways onto the banister from the third floor, slid down to the second floor(each floor has a separate landing) and onto the first and finally onto the parlor floor. I held a fencing sword in my right hand. As I slid down the banisters I hollered 'Carra Bella'. My youngest daughter-in-law (house owner) stood on my right, she too holding a fencing sword, facing the family room, backs to kitchen. We did uniformed dancing moves to the song Fernando and sang with it. Only it wasn't Abba singing it but Adam Lambert. Soon, my daughter-in-law sat and joined the others and it was my deceased husband beside me singing with me. We were so emotionally happy, choking up while we were singing, holding up the swords while we put our heads together side-by-side.
Your dream is a vivid tapestry of emotions, memories, and personal symbolism, weaving together elements that convey your subconscious thoughts and feelings. Let's break down the various components:
Setting in your son's house: This setting suggests a deep connection with family and possibly a desire to nurture familial bonds. Philadelphia might also hold particular significance for you, whether it's the city itself or what it represents in terms of family gatherings and shared experiences.
Pirate's attire and sword: The pirate shirt and sword could symbolize a sense of adventure or freedom. Pirates are often seen as rebellious or independent, suggesting perhaps an aspect of your personality that feels unrestrained or desires more freedom. The sword indicates not just defense but also elegance and performance, especially in the context of fencing, which involves skill and precision.
Sliding down the banisters: This action represents a carefree and playful spirit. It reflects a desire to break away from convention, engaging in acts of youthful exuberance. The smooth transition from one floor to another could symbolize moving through stages of life with ease or a wish to navigate life's challenges smoothly.
Hollering 'Carra Bella': The phrase itself may not have a specific meaning universally, but it seems to embody enthusiasm and joy in the context of your dream. This could be a personal mantra or an expression of freedom and excitement.
Synchronized dance with daughter-in-law: Dancing and singing in unison denote harmony and connection. The song "Fernando," with Adam Lambert's voice, might suggest nostalgia intertwined with contemporary influences or desires. The choice of Lambert's version implies a connection with modernity and perhaps an appreciation for his unique style and identity.
Transition to singing with your deceased husband: This part of the dream is rich with emotional depth and significance. Singing with your late husband represents a profound connection that transcends life and death. It suggests a yearning for reunion, comfort in memories, and the continuation of love beyond physical presence. The emotional happiness and tears indicate unresolved feelings or an ongoing process of healing and cherishing past moments.
Symbolism of swords held high: Holding the swords up while leaning together might symbolize triumph, unity, and shared strength. It's a powerful image that conjures both protection and celebration, emphasizing the resilient bond you share, even across the boundaries of existence.
Overall, your dream suggests themes of unity, freedom, nostalgia, and deep-seated emotional connections, blending joy with poignant memories. It reflects a celebration of life, familial love, and cherished relationships, echoing a desire to retain the vibrancy and connections that matter most to you.
